SOURCES AND CALCULATIONS

Informational only. This page gives a high‑level overview of the types of computations that support product features (e.g., onboarding guidance, BMI/BMR/TDEE, food grading‑style summaries). It is not medical or professional advice. Details, constants, and implementation choices may change and are deliberately summarized to avoid disclosing proprietary methods.

1. What We Compute (High Level)

  • Health indicators: common indices such as BMI, estimated BMR, and activity‑aware daily energy needs (TDEE‑style).
  • Personalized ranges: goal‑aware calorie guidance and macronutrient ranges, with conservative safeguards.
  • Hydration guidance: simplified daily water estimates informed by public nutritional references.
  • Activity energy: exercise energy estimates using widely referenced concepts (e.g., METs‑style), for general guidance.
  • Food grading‑style summaries: informational scores/labels derived from public methodologies and available data.

Methodology overview (non‑exhaustive): We estimate resting energy (BMR) using established equations, apply an activity factor (PAL‑style) to approximate TDEE, then derive goal‑aware guidance (e.g., calorie targets, macro ranges) with conservative floors/ceilings. Hydration guidance is informed by public dietary references. Exercise energy uses METs‑style approximations. Food grading‑style outputs are informational, based on public methods and available data.

2. Key Principles

  • Inputs drive outputs; results vary with measurement accuracy, labels, devices, and individual physiology.
  • Safety over precision: we apply conservative floors/ceilings and other guardrails to discourage extreme recommendations.
  • Informational only: not medical, nutritional, or professional advice; we do not endorse products or brands.

3. Corrections and Contact

  • If you are a rights holder or manufacturer and believe any computed score/description is inaccurate or harmful, contact: info@fitlyever.com. We will promptly review and, where appropriate, correct, clarify, remove, or limit display during review.

4. References (General)

  • We rely on widely referenced, publicly available materials (e.g., peer‑reviewed literature, public health guidelines, dietary references, physical‑activity compendia). Exact parameterizations and thresholds used in the app may differ and may be updated over time.

5. Selected Public Formulas (Non‑proprietary)

  • BMI: weight(kg) / [height(m)]^2
  • TDEE (conceptual): BMR × physical activity factor (PAL‑style)
  • Exercise energy (approximate): MET × weight(kg) × hours (daily averages may be used for guidance)
  • BMR (Mifflin–St Jeor):
    • Male: 10 × weight(kg) + 6.25 × height(cm) − 5 × age + 5
    • Female: 10 × weight(kg) + 6.25 × height(cm) − 5 × age − 161

7. Data Provenance (High level)

  • User‑provided inputs (e.g., profile, logs) and device integrations limited to wellness features.
  • Public nutrition databases and materials issued by national regulators (e.g., USDA FoodData Central, MFDS) and recognized international bodies (e.g., WHO, EFSA).
  • Product labels or information provided or submitted by users, where available.
  • Variability: labels, regional variants, and measurement differences can affect outputs; information remains informational only.
